Tyra Byers, the program coordinator of Sustainable UGA, said the idea for Feed the Fish originated from a brainstorming session for potential projects for the upcoming Alliance for Arts in Research Universities (A2RU) conference.
“[We wanted to figure out] how we could use an art piece to engage a conversation around this topic,” Byers said.
