On the Move: Dr. Laurence Kaptain Now at UC Denver

Laurence Kaptain, DMA and FRSA, was appointed Dean of the College of Arts & Media (CAM) at the University of Colorado Denver, effective August 1st. Dr. Kaptain previously served at Louisiana State University (an a2ru partner institution) where he was Founding Director of Creative Initiatives in the Office of Research and Economic Development. In his prior position Dr. Kaptain served as Dean of LSU’s College of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Dr. Kaptain is participating in a panel discussion at the a2ru 2014 National Conference at ISU which takes place November 5th – 8th. The panel discussion is focused on research and is titled “Moving Creativity from the Edges to the Center of a Major Research Institution.”  A series of panel discussions, breakout sessions and events will take place during the conference.
