Writing with Video is an advanced composition course at the University of Illinois that engages students in a comprehensive exploration of contemporary rhetoric, creative inquiry, design thinking, media authorship, self-reflection and social engagement. Students write in concert with video production projects in preparation for a world in which composition and rhetoric has come off the page and, as students make media, their ability to analyze and critique media messages undergoes radical transformation.
