A thought-provoking interview with Patricia Olynyk on the convergence of art and science in her visual arts practice.

Paulette Beete interviewed Patricia Olynyk for the National Endowment of the Arts Art Works blog. In the article Olynyk discusses the power of the visual, her experience with early engagement in the arts, the value of inspiring wonder in children, and how the marriage of art and science informs new ways of thinking and knowing. She also reveals the ways in which her work as an interdisciplinary artist allows her to overcome ocular-centric tendencies that pervade our culture.
