Offered to students who want to think widely, are interested in exercising both sides of their brains, and want to establish links and networks across disciplines, this University of Florida course works from Isaac Asimov’s The Roving Mind to explore art/science connections in the greater scheme of human advancement. By the end of the course, students have developed an understanding of grand challenges faced by the sciences, engineering, and the arts in the 21st century and beyond and have learned to create across different disciplines to address those grand challenges.
