• So, what did this [a2ru] conference really have to do with the arts? Actually, quite a lot. Even though it wasn’t explicitly a traditional conference about the fine arts, I felt like there was an underlying message that artists should always be part of the larger conversation about creativity and innovation. After all, artists have the unique trait of being communicators by training.

This course connects students’ analytic and creative works with professional development and other major concerns


 

This research practicum serves as the culmination of the coursework required for the Digital Cultures and Creativity Program, housed in the University of Maryland’s Honors College. This course is designed to support individual and collaborative projects by exploring major issues and questions associated with conducting research in creative digital communities. Students synthesize information, demonstrate intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness, as well as develop critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.
