• I just wanted to congratulate you on a fantastic conference this weekend. I learned a ton and met some incredible people that I hope to stay in touch with. There were times where I felt like I found my "tribe"–people who didn't even blink when I listed computer science, music and developmental psychology as my fields of study.

The Perfect Space to Spark Creativity and Disruption

The first class of the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy moved into their home: a dynamic workspace called The Garage.


 

The USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation has enrolled its first class of 31 undergraduates and on Aug. 20, they saw their new home: a 9,000-square-foot dynamic workspace called The Garage. The space is designed for creativity, with 3D fabrication studios, a workshop with hand and power tools, computer docking stations loaded with industry-level software, a kitchenette and lounge. All the walls are covered with “idea paint,” turning every surface into a whiteboard.
