For the first time ever, thirteen federal agencies are collaborating to explore the role of the arts in human development across the life span.

Here’s some promising news out of the National Endowment for the Arts: for the first time ever, thirteen federal agencies are collaborating to explore the role of the arts in human development across the life span. The interagency task force — chaired by the National Endowment for the Arts and by the Department of Health and Human Services — will identify research gaps, coordinate and publicize research opportunities, host quarterly webinars to bring together researchers and practitioners, and more. Read the full press release, find text of the first webinar (held November 30, 2011), and read over the white paper that led to the development of the task force.
