This course aims to bring the “internet of things” into the learning environment.

Responding to the ongoing paradigm shift in the information processing industry, this Carnegie Mellon University course aims to bring the “internet of things” into the learning environment for both graduate and undergraduate students. As such, this course aims to teach students to generate systems specifications from a perceived need, partition functionality between hardware and software, produce interface specifications for systems composed of numerous subsystems, use computer aided development tools, fabricate and integrate systems, and evaluate such systems in the context of end user applications.
