The ability to identify, create, manipulate, and understand narrative is a critical skill both within and outside of the arts.

Arizona State’s Lance Gharavi teaches “Introduction to Storytelling,” which introduces students to the nature, structure, and operations of story, as well as the functions of narrative in societies and cultures. That introduction will teach students the critical skills to identify, creative, manipulate, and understand narrative, which is essential for theatre and film artists, as well as for those in the sciences, history, law, and virtually any other discipline.
