At Carnegie Mellon University, Chris Klug and Ruth Comley have created a project-based course that  helps  define  the  beginning  of  the  two-year Entertainment Technology Center’s Masters of  Entertainment Technology experience.  In this course, interdisciplinary teams build virtual worlds and other interactive content. It emphasizes technical mechanics of how to build virtual worlds, but also uncovers the basics of environmental design, interactive game design, non-linear storytelling, virtual reality, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
